Overview: As a Civil Engineer within the Project Management Team, you will play a crucial role in executing and managing capital projects of varying sizes ($), types, and complexity. Our PMT is dedicated to delivering best-in-class projects with an unwavering commitment to safety, integrity, and compliance. These projects encompass engineering design, procurement, and construction, ranging from small to multi-billion-dollar mega projects.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Execute capital projects with precision, adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  2. Oversee complex technical and administrative tasks related to the design and coordination of civil & structural packages.
  3. Provide technical input and review for the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of facilities.
  4. Address technical issues throughout all project phases, ensuring compliance with civil & structural package requirements.
  5. Take charge of project development activities, including engineering studies, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail designs, materials procurement, and commissioning.
  6. Ensure civil/structural packages align with Saudi Aramco standards and specifications, collaborating with design contractors during Pre-FEED & FEED phases.
  7. Stay up-to-date with international procedures, engineering phases, procurement processes, and construction requirements to implement best practices effectively.
  8. Possess a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, project execution plans, change management, standards, specifications, and project schedules.
  9. Monitor and review day-to-day contractor activities during construction, emphasizing HSE compliance.
  10. Participate in developing various civil/structural packages deliverables, including plot plans, foundation details, structural assessments, geotechnical & soil tests, etc.
  11. Provide design input for civil/structural materials procurement and facilities like pipe racks, substations, control buildings, process plants, and more.
  12. Assist in change order scope definition, cost estimation, and change management processes.
  13. Review and monitor project progress, costs, and schedules through regular reporting and attendance at project meetings.
  14. Support and review civil & structural modifications to existing facilities.
  15. Offer ongoing civil & structural design and construction support for various facilities.
  16. Develop and/or review testing procedures for civil & structural packages.

Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  2. Possess a minimum of fifteen years of experience in the Oil, Gas, and refining industries, with a specialization in Civil & Structural Engineering. This should include five years of field experience in construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation.
  3. Be an expert in Engineering Design & Construction phases with a strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and specifications.
  4. Demonstrate excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  5. PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  6. Be adaptable and willing to work in multinational teams and different locations, including remote areas if required.
